School Start

On 23 August 2023, the “School Start” program was launched to support students from Ukraine who were forced to leave their country and arrived in Poland after 24 February 2022 due to the full-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation. The goal of the program was to support children beginning their education in Polish schools, providing them with essential school supplies and helping them adapt to a new learning environment.

As part of this initiative, more than 700 children received fully equipped school backpacks — including children living in Lublin, surrounding areas, and families residing in Warsaw. Support was also provided to children remaining in Ukraine.

The program was implemented thanks to the involvement of the Eleon Foundation, partners, and volunteers. The school kits helped children start the school year with a sense of safety, dignity, and equal opportunity.
